SLOW HORIZONS

SHARON CRABB

16 SEP-8 OCT

Sharon Crabb's work inhabits the intersection between representation & abstraction. Her sound collages, video & photography isolate details of our everyday environments, using minimalism to create order out of visual clutter.

"Slow Horizons" explores the restorative quality of the horizon line. The horizon as reference point, a place for the eye to rest. Expansive vistas collected on road trips into the Australian landscape are collaged & animated. Field recordings & found quotes on nature & meditation are embedded in the accompanying soundtrack, providing an immersive experience. Connecting with nature reimagined for a gallery setting.
