Photographs are the universal language of our era. Everyone has hundreds, thousands in their pocket, weightless.
I connect with the camera as a tool that puts me in a position to be out engaging with the world every day. It acts as a portal to and catalyst for reckoning with the other and how it can be used to break down barriers between the photographer, subject and viewer.
Today, images have become devalued as a truth-revealing mechanism, they are free to own their subjectivity and are an ideal medium to navigate ideas around connection and identity.
This exhibition is a collection of images that encourage us to explore these concepts and feelings through the depiction of everyday spaces and people in isolation, inviting us to look at the familiar in a new way.
