HORDE

Horde is a mob of sixty-three silver figures, they are made of paper clay and found objects. Each sculpture is unique, but they all have the same clumsy shape, slumped posture, and all their heads hang low. Some carry weapons, some are on skateboards and some drag vegetation.

My artwork explores damaged creatures; beings that are deformed yet absurd, ugly yet amusing, deformed yet violent. Horde is part of my Oaf series; caricatures, not of a real person, but a pathetic, belligerent and senseless behaviour.
