My art is about translating 3 dimensional landscapes and streetscapes into 2 dimensional drawings, like an artistic architect. Like Van Gogh and Cezanne, I blend the beauty of European and Australian countryside and towns, with an illustrative, loose, colourful rendering.
Every year I have travelled overseas, I return with sketchbooks full of pen and watercolour drawings. All sketched en plain air, where I sit in a field or street corner and draw by hand the views that inspire me.
