CLOUDS ARE NOT OUR BODIES
HANNAH BEILHARZ
27 Sep to 20 Oct 2018

Clouds are not our bodies is a shifting archive that recreates the inner narratives of the self as a physical space for viewers to experience. The title is an excerpt from a poem written by the artist that explores forms of distance between bodies and space, both emotional and physical.
The work traces memories and dreams through drawing, poetry and video projections of surreal imagery, creating an intimate encounter in the cupboard space. In this small space, the work changes and interacts with the physical movements of the viewer’s body, revealing bodily perspectives on the inner narratives of the self.
