Grace Murphy is a Fine artist, painter, expressing through the free-flowing traditional medium of oil paint, predominantly working on wood panels, painting colour abstraction and portraiture. Constructing a fictional personality to faces then painting portraits of these fictional people using sculpture, existing paintings and surrounding people as visual references. Interested in the physicality of art. The paintings are an extension of the artist, creating a deeper connection to work creating sensitivity in the art. Influenced by the stillness and isolation, exploring the idea of accident vs intent, creating relationships between non-directly correlating visuals.
