FANTASY OF ORDER

In this work I utilise hard-edge abstract forms and organic gestural lines. I am interested in both an intuitive and analytical process of creating forms that become distorted in the drawing process, creating complex and confusing spaces.

I aim to overload flat space painted with a graphic flatness. Saturated colours and confusing distortions, sometimes nonsensical, heighten a sense of contradiction and confusion. Tension between dynamic fluid forms and the hard-edged geometry suggest a kind of controlled chaos or a fantasy of order.
