Annelise Forster is an Adelaide based artist working from and helping run the Floating Goose Studios. Forster’s artwork is extremely process driven and intuitive as she puts great importance on the use of colours and forms, aiming to create diverse marks, signature to the feelings she experiences.
Move Me is a new body of work created during Forster’s residency with GlogauAIR Berlin from April – June 2020. Throughout the residency Forster explored the emotional and cognitive functions of music by visually representing her reactions to various pieces of music that evoke a strong emotional response. Forster has worked on a large scale, using her body to create marks that are informed by her emotional reaction to the music. She is experimenting with presentation and documentation of works, combining film work with physical paintings.
